Monday, June 10, 2019
Regina, SK – Access Communications Co-operative announced today TiVo, the future of TV and whole-home entertainment, has arrived in Yorkton, Melville and the Battlefords.
With today’s launch of TiVo in four more communities, this makes TiVo available in 16 communities across Saskatchewan including Regina, White City, Pilot Butte, Balgonie, Emerald Park, Coppersands, Milestone, Midale, Bienfait, Yellow Grass, Estevan and Weyburn.
Access’s TiVo whole home entertainment system includes an advanced multi-room HD PVR that will connect a customer’s entire home and provide endless entertainment opportunities in live TV, video on demand (VOD) and streaming services like Netflix or YouTube.
“Our TiVo service brings the most viewing options from live TV and streaming services all on one set-top box, enabling more content for customers to enjoy while enhancing their AccessTV viewing experience", says Ryan Howard, Marketing Manager of Access Communications. "No more switching devices, toggling inputs or juggling remotes. Whether it's live, on demand, or on an over the top app such as Netflix or YouTube, TiVo finds it and collects every available episode in a way that's easily searchable and hassle-free. A great feature is the Netflix button that is built into the remote - making Netflix just one click away. Features of the TiVo service work intelligently, allowing viewers to search less and watch more," adds Howard.
While other PVRs collect only selected recordings, TiVo allows you to create a OnePass™. TiVo OnePass™ can search and collect every episode by season wherever it can be found now or in the future and stores them all in your OnePass™ folder. If a show or movie you're searching for isn't available yet, however it is available to added to a Wish List folder and TiVo will automatically record it for you whenever it comes on. TiVo customers can record or watch up to 6 shows at once and, with 1 terabyte of storage, can store up to 500 hours of TV, making concerns over having enough recording space a thing of the past.
TiVo's What to Watch Now feature and interactive programming guide allows users to filter and search the guide based on what the viewer is interested in at the moment, such as movies, popular TV, sports & more. It also includes a poster art guide, parental controls, on-screen apps & games, and personalized programming, all at your fingertips with the remote control. With TiVo Voice Remote, it understands your voice command and does the rest, simultaneously searching across your live TV, recordings and streaming services to deliver personalized results based on what you watch and when you watch it.
TiVo customers are able to turn any device into a TV screen with the Vu-It TiVo app. Watch recorded content or live TV anywhere in the home on a mobile device or take your recordings on the go. Forgot to schedule a recording? The app allows you to manage all of your One Passes and Recordings wherever you are.
